Champion athletes aren’t just born - they’re selected, trained, molded and tested. Since 2016, we’ve been a competitive force in the Pittsburgh area. We hone raw talent to maturity with quality coaching, primal workouts and a true love of the sport. Teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship - those are the hallmarks of Pittsburgh Buckets.
Pittsburgh Buckets Basketball was founded in February 2016 by Justin Walther. Walther, a native of Munhall, wanted to grow a youth basketball program that would benefit the girls and boys of the Pittsburgh area. The goal was to create a structured atmosphere where boys and girls could come and fine tune their skills. Pittsburgh Buckets, in 2025, has 20 teams and over 200 players. Two teams qualified for the AAU National Championship in Orlando, Fl. And another Buckets team WON the USBA National Championship in Greensboro, NC.
